Assistant Professor of English
Emily Pasmore Doyle, Assistant Professor of English, has been a member of 91Ó°ÊÓ-Newport’s
faculty since 2012. Bringing her passion for literature, composition, and cultural
enrichment to classrooms and online courses, she is committed to encouraging students'
intellectual development and academic success. As the executive editor of ASUN Lit Pub, the literary and fine arts publication of ASU-Newport, she champions creative expression,
believing that every student, faculty, staff, and community contributor brings a valuable
perspective to the publication's readership. As a member of committees and initiatives,
including the Curriculum Committee, the Strong Start-to-Finish Initiative, and the
ACE Leadership Academy, she collaborates with colleagues to ensure ASUN’s continued
dedication to student success, institutional excellence, and community engagement.
Honors Emily Pasmore Doyle has received include the Institutional Excellence Award (2019), the NISOD Excellence
in Teaching Award (2020), ASU-Newport's Innovation Grant (2020), the Chancellor's
Teamwork Award (2021), the Chancellor’s Transformation Award (2024), as well as the
Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition from the American Association of Community
Colleges (2025).
