ASU-Newport Practical Nursing Cohorts in Newport and Marked Tree Achieve First-Attempt NCLEX Success
NEWPORT (Ark.) –– 91Ӱ-Newport (ASUN) is proud to announce that
all 23 Practical Nursing graduates from its Newport and Marked Tree campuses successfully
passed the NCLEX-PN examination on their first attempt.
The milestone includes 14 students from the Newport campus and 10 students from the Marked Tree campus, for a total of 24 graduates who successfully completed the exam.
Dr. Stacie Hay, Dean for Nursing and Health Professions at ASUN, praised the students and the faculty members who guided them to success.
“This accomplishment is a direct reflection of the dedication and expertise of our Practical Nursing instructors,” said Dr. Hay. “Kathryn Warren and Latisha Clark in Newport, along with Tonya Holden in Marked Tree, have invested countless hours preparing these students for success. Their commitment to academic excellence, hands-on training, and individualized support makes a lasting difference. We are incredibly proud of our students — and deeply grateful for the faculty who helped them reach this milestone.”
The NCLEX-PN is the national licensure exam required for practical nursing graduates to become licensed practical nurses. Achieving a 100% pass rate demonstrates the effectiveness of ASUN’s hands-on instruction, clinical preparation, and student-centered support systems.
